Dancehall artiste Trekar has scored a major feather in his cap as his new 'Top Man' video, has been added to daily rotation on BET JAMS

"I felt overwhelmed when I saw the video for the first time on BET Jams on Saturday, that's a major platform for my music and to see my song a play with the hottest artistes in America like Cardi B and Migos is a great feeling.  I’m just going to keep working hard and keep it authentic. I have been getting a lot of love from IG, whatsapp, Facebook, and the Snapchat tun up, crazy people ah say is a great look for the career,” an ebullient Trekar said.

BET Jams is an American digital cable television network controlled by BET Networks and owned by Viacom Media Networks. The channel features hip-hop and urban contemporary music videos. The network, formerly known as MTV Jams, was rebranded under the BET banner on October 5, 2015

Trekar will be opening act for Popcaan and Spice at the Toronto International Centre on June 1. After that, he will be doing a five city Canadian tour between July 2 to August 11.

"My management has also lined up a European tour between August 14 to September 19th, so I am really looking forward to that, the Top Man video is blowing up, the career is heading in the right direction," he said.

Trekar recently recorded a single on popular producer Troyton's new riddim which will be released this Summer.

Born in Portmore, Jamaica, Blake grew up in the 6 West area in Greater Portmore. While attending Wolmer's Boys High School, he played basketball and represented the school's track team. However, it was music that was his first true love, and he began to spend several afternoons at the studio for a school mate.

Since that time, he has logged countless hours honing his craft. He signed to Mainestone Entertainment last year and recorded several songs such as aforementioned 'Top Man' and 'Dreamchaser'.

One of his most popular songs is 'Ghetto Struggles' which racked up over 30,000 views since its release in December 2017.

“Music is my destiny. I was born to be a star," he said.
