Three people were last night killed in a motor vehicle crash along the Llandovery main road in St Ann, while three others were hospitalised following the incident.

Reports are that the six individuals were travelling towards St Ann's Bay in a Honda Civic motor car when it collided with an International motor truck about 7:30 pm.

The deceased have been identified as Jaymie Powell of Charles Town, St Mary, Eric Forbes of Steerfield, St Ann and Tenesha Douglas of an unknown address.

The occupants of the truck were not seriously injured. A Toyota Corolla was also hit during the crash but the occupants escaped major injuries.

The incident came just weeks after five persons were killed along the Llandovery main road after the bus they were travelling on developed mechanical problems and overturned.
