Justice may be served for an elderly couple who were killed last month in a crime that shocked the nation. Police say a man has been held in connection with the double murder of an elderly couple in Retreat, St Thomas last month.

A release from the police communication arm, the Corporate Communications Unit, did not disclose the name of the suspect but said he is to be questioned in the presence of his attorney.

The suspect was arrested in Seaforth district, St Thomas on Wednesday.

The police say that on January 9, Melbourne Flake, 81, and his wife, 70-year-old Etta, were found at their home about 10:30 am with their hands and feet bound. They were motionless, according to the release.
