Although he has been diagnosed with a serious heart condition, Jamaican dancehall artiste Ninjaman is expected to return to court today.

"Well, he needs to do an  angioplasty as soon as possible, his pulse rate is very low, normally the pulse rate of the average human being is about 90, Ninjaman's rate is 40. the blood is not going to all the places in the heart, and being stationary is not every good for him," Valerie Neita- Robinson, the deejay's attorney told ONE876ENTERTAINMENT.COM.

For adults 18 and older, a normal resting heart rate is between 60 and 100 beats per minute (bpm), depending on the person's physical condition and age. For children ages 6 to 15, the normal resting heart rate is between 70 and 100 bpm, while some elite athletes can get their heart rate down to 40 bpm.

The trial is expected to continue today with the prosecution calling yet another witness.

"He will have to have an operation which will require a recovery period of three to four months. So we want to finish this case as quickly as possible because Ninjaman cannot go under any stress right now and has to remain as calm as possible," she said.
