Kingston-based dancehall artiste Krysie released a video for her single, 'Tomorrow', recently. The song, which was released on the Warrior Musick label, is doing well on FM radio and in the streets.
"People love the video, I am getting a lot of feedback on social media and it should hit cable TV this week. 'Tomorrow' is an inspirational song,  to let people know that no matter what they are going through now, you have to push on and do it, just do it, only action can make a better tomorrow," the artiste who was born Crystal Robinson said.
She has also done multiple collaborations such as 'Fyah' with dancehall superstar Busy Signal.
She grew up in  Kingston where she attended Clan Clarthy High school. She was a precocious child, and with the support of her grandmother Krysie participated singing at various events from community shows to karaoke sessions using these mediums to build her fan base one show at a time.
In 2004, she entered the Tastee’s Talent Search Competition where she placed third and won a best dressed prize. Five years later, she entered the Digicel Rising Competition where she made it to the top ten before she was eventually eliminated.
"Being seen on the TV during Rising Stars turned me into a star in my community, I was a judge's pick, Anthony Miller's pick in fact, me and another performer, Winston, We were Krysie and Winston, we dropped out in the top seven," she said.
Currently Krysie is signed to popular producer Dameon Gayle's “Warriors Musick Productions” and her only aim is to produce quality music and grow as a professional. Other than her quirky fashion sense and outsize personality, one of Krysie's strong points is her ability to write her own songs.
"Well, I feel very bless to be able to put down my thoughts on paper...not only what I feel but I see people having trouble explaining with words words in a song," she said.
Fans can look out for other singles including 'Flying High' for which a music video was released.
She recently did a live performance on a show dubbed 'Married to the Money' on October 27th, and then another show on December 2nd, as she builds her reputation one stage show at a time.
Forget about Tomorrow. Krysie is about to blow up right now.
