Reggae artist Jahiant is generating an incredible buzz with his latest single, No More War. The song has been released in Canada and has been placed in regular rotation on Internet radio stations, and it is also available on the latest hot street mixtapes.

"It is a great song and the feedback has been incredible so far, I performed it at a couple of events so far up here in Canada, it jumped on a few reggae charts in Europe and it is sure to get some forwards. With the response I have been getting, the next logical move should be a music video," Jahiant said in a release.

A beautifully produced song, No More War calls for a gentler, stronger Jamaica where violence is seen as a last resort to resolving conflicts.

“The track comes at a time when there is a desperate need for healing in Jamaica. The title itself refers to the nation's desire for peace after continuous violence escalates between badman and police," producer Barrington Farquharson said

Although Jamaica's high murder rate has been decreased through more rigorous policing, there have been a rash of gruesome murders and beheadings which have shocked the Jamaican public. And there have been rumblings of gangland conflicts in the hotbed areas such as Spanish Town, Kingston and Montego Bay in recent weeks.

"Based on what is going on in the country now, No More War is a song that can eas the pain and do away with the fears that have been plaguing the nation for years. The fact is they need to begin the healing process now," Jahiant reasoned.

Jahiant sees himself as "a disciple of the poor", and through his message-based music, hopes to reflect the day to day struggles of those in poverty as well as people who are forced into oppression, whether financial, emotional and otherwise. His personality, attitude and live performances are of giant proportions brought forward by the spirit of Jah.

Jahiant's previous singles include Ghetto Lifestyle It No Easy and Why Dem Stressin Me, have been dubbed a You Tube "smash hit" along with heavy rotation on local radio and TV stations in Jamaica. The single Ghetto Lifestyle No Easy is also available on reggae iTunes for download look out for the video " In A Mi Yard" now available on you tube.

Jahiant has been on an aggressive promotional campaign since January 2011 throughout Canada and the US, making his way to Jamaica. Flooding the streets with his powerful messages of freedom and liberty! He is also working on a number of new tracks and is set to complete his album in the coming year.

Producer, Barrington Farquharson said " the response has just been phenomenal, so far on reggae iTunes! Plus the song jumped on an Internet radio chart in Spain." Jahiant's unconventional approach to the industry was basically summed up in one sentence when he was quoted as saying “I will continue to make powerful statement of truth through my music that the whole world relate to".
