Dancehall icon Cutty Ranks and Panamanian producer El Chombo have earned their first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated May 5), with the viral hit, El Chombo's "Dame Tu Cosita" featuring Cutty Ranks which debuted at No. 81.

"Dame Tu Cosita," which translates to "give me little thing," has surpassed a 10.4 million U.S. streams (up 26 percent) and 1,000 downloads sold in the tracking week ending April 26, according to Nielsen Music.

The original, “Cosita Mix” was included in the 1998 album “Cuentos de la Cripta Vol. 2” (Tales from the Crypt Vol. 2″, by El Chombo, a Panamanian DJ. Dame tu cosita literally means 'gimme little thing'. The new remix, 'Dame Tu Cosita' features a video with a green alien dancing that is all the rage on social media.

"I wrote and voiced a 45, El Cosita, for the producer, Sebastian Clarke, in Panama City years ago in 1997. It was the first Spanish song I ever did, that song buss me in the Spanish market. I wrote a song with the chorus, and the idea was to say, 'gimme your thing" , and he came up with translation into Spanish. So I wrote the lyrics, and they sampled the 'kill dem out' from '6 million ways to die' on the original 45," Cutty Ranks explained to oNE876 EDITOR Claude Mills last week.

The song has been boosted by a viral meme on dubbed the Dame Tu Cosita Challenge, in which people lip-sync the tune and re-enact the dance in its official music video, which presents an animated green alien dancing.

As of May 1, the clip has rocketed to 227 million global views on YouTube since its posting on April 5.
