Jamaica recoiled in horror on Monday night when common-law spouses Helen McGoo and Gordon Davis were gunned down in a savage attack mere seconds after closing up their place of business in South Dale Plaza in Half Way Tree, St. Andrew.

Little did the couple know that at around 7:45 pm on Monday, May 30, their lives would have been snuffed out at the hands of a lone gunman as shots rang out in the usually busy South Dale Plaza, off Constant Spring Road, in Half Way Tree, St Andrew.

In the aftermath, the car the two were about to travel in to their home in Hope Pastures, was reportedly peppered with bullet holes as both Davis and McGoo had been hit multiple times in the upper body area; the gunman had escaped.
