Woman beats minor with stick

A St. Catherine woman who beat a minor with a piece of stick all over his body, pleaded guilty to the offence of assault occasioning bodily harm.
The accused, Denesha Brown, appeared in the St. Catherine Parish court earlier this week where the court head that on December 30, 2016, Brown used a piece of stick to beat a minor all over the body.
The mother of the child who was present told the judge: "your honour I spent $4,000 for his medical so she can give me back that".
The judge concurred. 

"Miss Brown if you wish to make your sentence lighter you can make restitution of the child's medical bill," acting senior parish judge Mrs. Grace McKenzie-Henry told the accused.

A social enquiry report was then ordered and Brown is expected to return for sentencing on March 24, 2017.
