  A St. Catherine woman who attempted to smuggle in ganja into jail will get a free stay at the Stonebar Hotel for her troubles when she returns to court on January 3, 2017 for sentencing.

 

The fingerprints, records and social enquiry report was ordered for Simone Hunter when she appeared in the St. Catherine Parish Court today.

Allegations outlined to parish judge Natalie Brooks was that on October 30, 2016 the accused woman went to the Tamberine Farm Correctional facility were she attempted to smuggle 5.96 ounces of ganja.

Hunter was then charged for possession of ganja and attempting to introduce ganja in a penal facility.

She awaits sentencing on January 3, 2017.
