A bench warrant was executed for Courtney Martin when he failed to appear in the Spanish Town RM Court recently. Martin who is charged jointly with Travis Leslie for house breaking,  larceny and two counts of receiving stolen property.

Allegations are that sometime in February 2015 the complainants went to bed in the Daytona area of Greater Portmore. One Huawei and Blackberry Bold cellular phone was placed on the dresser and a Samsung Galaxy on the kitchen counter charging.
Sometime in the early morning a male was seen dressed in black entering the bedroom and removing something from the dresser and leaving the room. However the complainant who believed it was her father said nothing and went back to bed.

In the morning it was however discovered that the three cellular phones were missing along with the charger. Attempts to make contact was unsuccessful.

Later in the day the police were patrolling the area and observed a group of persons who had a man who was later identified as Martin tied up with rope. He was searched and the three phones along with the complainant identification card found on him. During interrogation Martin told the officers that it was Travis who gave him the phones to wipe, open and fix.

When Travis was accosted he was found in the possession of two sim cards and a charger which were later identified as the complainants. He however told the police that it was Squirl that gave him the phones to fix and he gave them to Martin.

Leslie pleaded not guilty to housebreaking and larceny, guilty on both counts of receiving stolen property. He was granted bail in the sum of $300,000 with 1-3 sureties and a social enquiry report ordered. He will appear for sentencing on June 29, 2015.
