When the Valentine brothers appeared in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate Court recently charged with arson, one was successful in his bail application while the other was remanded.
The investigating officer outlined that one brother, Joseph, had previous convictions and that file was not available. Damian was granted bail in the sum of $250,000 with one to three sureties. He is to report to the  Guanaboa Vale police on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between the hours of 6 a.m and 6 p.m. A curfew order was also imposed between the hours of 7 p.m and 6 a.m.
Damian was also warned not to interfere with the complainant who is his stepfather, while Joseph was remanded.
Its alleged that Desmond Shippy had a disagreement with the brothers'  mother with whom he is in a relationship. The brothers retaliated by setting ablaze his one bedroom board house.
The case will again be mentioned on December 17, 2015 as the fire report is still outstanding.
