A security guard, who had been employed at a prominent high school in St. Catherine, was granted bail on a sex charge when appeared in the Spanish Town RM Court earlier this week.

The man, who had previously worked at St. Jago High, Wolmers High, Waterford High and Bog Walk High schools, is alleged to have had sexual relations with a student at the school he now works.

The accused, Barrington Davies, has been in custody since June 29, 2015. When asked by RM Horace Mitchell if his supervisor were aware of his arrest and charges, the madam clerk responded in the affirmative.

He was then granted bail in the sum of $350,000 with 1 or 2 sureties.

"Mr. Davies, you are to have no form of contact with the complainant. No text message, voice note, Whatsapp, Facebook or Instagram," RM Mitchell outlined.

He is to submit his fingerprints and return to court on October 6, 2015.
