Three persons died in a small plane crash this afternoon. The small plane reportedly crashed into a house on Greenwich Avenue in the Greenwich Farm area of Kingston.


Head of Communication Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay, confirmed that three persons died in a small plane crash which occurred on Thursday off Marcus Garvey Drive in the community of Greenwich Farm.


Lindsay also revealed that of the three persons killed, one was initially rescued by brave residents who pulled him from the wreckage, however, he later succumbed to injuries while receiving medical treatment.

She also noted that the fire department was still on scene carrying out cool-down operations, after several small fires erupted in the aftermath of the early afternoon crash.

The Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority (JCAA) and other agencies are reported to be on the scene attempting to secure the area for investigations.
