Stealing electricity is a very costly undertaking these days. In fact, having your electricity regularised is much less costly than appearing in the Spanish Town RM court charged with abstracting of electricity .

When Kenrick Henry  and Mark Mendez appeared before senior RM Armstrong, they found out this new truism in no uncertain terms.

Both men were charged $250,000 for using 3 bulbs, DVD, TV and 3 bulbs, fan, TV and fridge respectively.

The fine also carries a 30 day sentence if not paid.
