Man murders other with concrete block after argument by Althea Burrell, COURT REPORTER

  An argument which developed between two men has left one dead and the other charged for his murder. A concrete block was the instrument used to administer the coup de gras.   


Facing a murder rap is Phillip Stewart of a Portmore address.

Allegations read out in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrates' Court is that on January 23, 2016 Stewart used a concrete block to hit the complainant. Still not feeling satisfied Stewart then  went onto the roof of the house where he dropped a block in the head of the complainant who succumbed to the injuries.

It was outlined to RM Natalie Brooks  that the post mortem and forensic certificate were still outstanding. The judge ordered the fingerprints of Stewart taken and that he be remanded for medical observation.

His case is set to be mentioned on March 15, 2016.
