An accused man who appeared in the Spanish Town RM Court on a charge of abstracting electricity found himself slapped with three additional charges.

The accused, Akeem Gillespie, pleaded guilty to abstracting electricity and was fined $60,000 or 30 days imprisonment but when he exited the dock to pay the fine saw the officer who had charged him and said "nuh dah dutty police bwoy a tell lie pa mi".

When he returned to the dock, he pleaded guilty to indecent language and disorderly conduct.

RM Tara Reid-Carr fined him $1000 or 10 days for each offence. However the charge of abusive language was eventually dismissed.
