Man arrested for stealing Pepsi Bubbla by Althea Burrell Featured
Brown, who told the court that he has a medical condition, was using the health card in the name of Paul Austin when he was arrested.
Allegations are that on December 3, 2015, the accused who is a chef went to make a food delivery and later stopped at a supermarket to purchase a Pepsi Bubbla. He further outlined that after paying for the item the security at the establishment said that he was stealing items from the establishment and the police were summoned and Brown arrested and charged.
Brown's lawyer argued that it wasn't possible Brown could have stolen the item in question because he had $6,800 in his possession and also the receipt for the Bubbla.
Brown, who had a previous court conviction for conspiracy to extort, served his time and was released in June 2013.
RM Wilcott then granted him bail in the sum of $30,000 with 1-2 sureties and report to the Caymanas Police every Wednesday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
He returns to court on March 11, 2016.
