Ever since dancehall-reggae stunner Keshan did a sexually charged collaboration dubbed 'The Goods', with Vybz Kartel in January 2015, her career has exploded into the next stratosphere. The song racked up over 500,000 spins on youtube in only three months.
Heavyweight producers have begun to send beats her way and she has carved out a decent following on Twitter and Instagram.
"That song has been great for my career, it gave me a lot of recognition because of how well the song did. It was on a lot of mix tapes here and overseas, and it got a lot of airplay everywhere, and people know my name now," she said.
Keshan's latest project "Round Two" was released in May 2015, and there is already a simmering buzz around the song which makes juicy sexual innuendos about a "double", a second round of steamy sex.
"The song is basically just me teasing my lover to come for a second round, round two, sex addicts will love this song," the spunky 21 year-old joked.
"The early feedback has been so good that we plan to shoot a video within the next couple of weeks to push the project."
Born Keneisha Shaneika Brown on August 2, 1993, Keshan grew up in the community of Marleymount in Old Harbour. She is the third youngest of her siblings and last of five sisters.
"My community has been very supportive of my music, i have a good support system," she said.
At the age of seven, family members realised Keshan's talent as she would belt out Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston songs around the house.  After graduating from Old Harbour High school in 2010, Keshan hd appeared to drift away from music to pursue her dreams of being a fashion designer.
However, in 2013, Keshan found herself being pulled by music again. She recorded her first single "Need Your Loving" with music producer Anthony Thomas from "Anthony Records". One year later, she was discovered by music producer Elvis Redwood from So Unique Records and was later signed to the label.
Her first project with the label was 'Don't Lie', a collaboration with dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel. A slew of songs followed such as 'Bubble Up Yu Body', another collaboration with Vybz Kartel, and songs such as  "Tricks Are For Kids" and "Fool Proof". She also did yet another collabo, "Kill Or Die", also featuring Vybz Kartel.
"Vybz Kartel, Lady Saw and Spice are my main musical influences," she said.
This young stunner plans to rise to the top of the dancehall game. She will not be derailed in her single-minded ambition to be a success.
You can bet your house on it.
