Popular media personality Elva Ruddock passed away on Sunday, October 7th after battling lupus for several years. She had been hospitalised a few weeks ago but finally succumbed to the disease over the weekend.

    Popular comedienne and media personality Elva Ruddock passed away yesterday at the Kingston Public Hospital after battling lupus for several years. She had been hospitalised a few weeks ago but finally succumbed to the disease over the weekend.     

  Entertainer Wayne Marshall burst into tears as he performed Glory to God during the funeral service for Yetanya Francis. He was in full song when the raw emotions got the better of him at the HWT Seventh Day Adventist church. 

The dancehall fraternity is mourning the death of a  popular dancer and female promoter who hails from Anchovy District in St. James, but resided in New York, USA,  was shot and killed by gunmen in Anchovy, on Saturday, September 29, and her male companion shot and wounded.  

Woman District Constable Mellissa Edwards- Whyte, who was assigned to Crime Stop, chopped to death during a domestic dispute at her home at about 9:00 pm on Saturday, September 29.
