Dancehall artiste Iyara is presently on a month long tour of Canada where he performed at a show at the Legion nightclub in Leamington, Ontario, and did so well that he was booked for a follow-up show at the same club, the Devon House Bar and Nightclub, the following Saturday, August 11th.

Musicians and singers descended on the Webster Memorial United Church in St Andrew on Wednesday to pay tribute to the life of Irvin “Carrot” Jarrett, former percussionist with reggae band Third World.

Samantha J is convalescing from recent injuries she received after falling down a flight of stairs while on tour in Belize. The injuries were quite substantial, including lacerations to her upper body, a few broken teeth and jaw, a fractured hand and swelling in her back.

Irvin “Carrot” Jarrett, former member of reggae band Third World, was found dead at his home on Tuesday. His death was confirmed by current band member Cat Coore. The cause of death was not confirmed.  

Dancehall artiste Popcaan had to settle for the number two spot on this week's Billboard Reggae albums chart. His sophomore album, Forever, released via MixPak Records sold 1,484 copies to debut in the runner-up position.

Renowned producer, manufacturer and distributor Neville Lee, who died at the Medical Associates Hospital in St Andrew on Tuesday after a battle with leukaemia and diabetes. He was 80 years old.
