The accused man who demanded and obtained  $100 from an attorney in Spanish Town was sentenced to six months at hard labour today in the Spanish Town RM court.   The incident occurred in the reserved parking area  of the Spanish town Resident Magistrate Court on September 22, 2015        The Social Enquiry Report detailed that the accused, Christopher Burton, had two other convictions of housebreaking with intent and housebreaking and larceny.   When he was arrested by Corporal Llewelyn on the grounds of the courthouse , he said "a beg mi ago ova d courthouse go beg". He was then arrested for simple larceny.   In handing down the sentence, RM Tara Reid Carr  said "the fact that the incident took place on the grounds of the courthouse where justice is to be served, and although no weapon was used, the nature of the offense is very serious and has left the attorney shaken".
