A woman who is accused of aiding and abetting sex with a minor appeared in Spanish Town Resident Magistrates' court earlier this week.
The accused, Ann-marie Elleston was charged with procuration.
As defined by law, procuration is an act by which one person gives power to another to act in his place, as he could do himself.  Procurations are either express or implied; an express procuration is one made by the express consent of the parties; the implied or tacit takes place when an individual sees another managing his affairs, and does not interfere to prevent it.

Elletson is the mother of two children, aged 18 and 22, and lives in Watermount, Brown's Hall.
She is accused of soliciting a 14 year old to have sex with an adult, and aiding and abetting sex with a minor. She is represented by Council Hamilton.

Bail was offered at $250,000 with one or two sureties, and Elletson is to report to Brown's Hall police on  Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 6 a.m and 6 p.m. Fingerprinting was also ordered.
