A mysterious illness has spread and infected over 100 students at the Sandy Bank Primary School in the parish of St. Elizabeth.

Reports are that  that two staff members at the institution have also been infected. To date, the school has not determined the cause of the viral outbreak, though some theorise that it may be the debilitating Dengue Fever.

There is further speculation and rampant fear that it could be the mosquito-borne Zika virus. The Zika virus, which is wreaking havoc in various parts of the Americas, has similar symptoms to Dengue Fever. These include headache, fever and severe joint pain.  Jamaica has now confirmed its first case of the Zika Virus.
