A man who appeared in the Spanish Town RM Court earlier this week on a charge of abstracting electricity was fined $150,000  or six months at hard labour.

The accused, Donovan Robinson, told RM Nembhard that he rented the premises to which light was provided but he didn't make the illegal connection therefore he didn't know.

When asked by the judge if he had ever paid an electricity bill since occupying the premises he said no.

His fingerprint was then ordered by RM Nembhard.
