The Dye Dye Queen Macka Diamond, a fixture in the regular street dances in the Corporate Area, has employed a new strategy by taking on the country road to promote her new singles, 'Big Foot' and 'Karma' along the North Coast from Portland to Hanover.

She performed at the Brimmer Vale High School in Port Maria last week, where throngs of school children reacted enthusiastically to hit singles like 'Cow Foot', 'Dye Dye' and 'Hula Hoop'.

"After performing at the school, we shell the whole Ochi with promo cds. The better part was touching down in Mobay and the second city gave us a warm welcome. Songs like 'Bigfoot' and 'Karma' splash out a Heineken party. Then it was off to Exact Mondayz flexing with Ryme Minista. It was a great look, vibe tunup where my new 'Bun Fi Bun' song get dropped by DJ Krazy Jeff, him deal wid it wicked and even draw 'Hula Hoop' and you woulda tink is a circus," Macka Diamond said.

Macka has grown into a versatile artistes with songs that cut across a number of genres from reggae to soca.

"Mi also use the chance fi get in some soca settings because mi soca song, 'Mash Up Di Road' with Blaxx from Trinidad, and the Mobay girls dem like the Fresh Look girls dem go Gymnastics settings pon it no saaaa Mobay Tunup Loud. Next week, me and Timry ah go tek on Clarendon, Manchester n St. Elizabeth."

She is getting a buzz with her new single, Big Foot, which appears on the Stashment Records imprint. The video which is now in heavy rotation on HYPE TV, RE TV, LINKS, SWAG, and CVM TV.

In the meantime, the Spanish version of her breakout single, Dye Dye, which went number one on local and international charts, continues to get excellent rotation, giving the song a second boost. The song has been added to the playlists of several radio stations in Central and South America and the Spanish version to the song is selling well on iTunes in Latin America.

“The calls are coming in from Panama, Nicaragua and Columbia so far, so I have to be prepping up on my Spanish vocabulary,” she joked
