Sources close to the Portmore Empire say that legal action for loss of income could be an option for Vybz Kartel who was the main headline act of the Colouring Book concert which was cancelled at the 11th hour by cops over the weekend.

"We don't know what the agenda was behind the cancellation, but the deejay says he will be claiming in civil court for loss of income," a source told

Vybz Kartel has a somewhat acrimonious relationship with the police force, and late last year, took to the airwaves after the cops invaded The Building nightclub in a 'sting operation' on Boxing Day but found nothing incriminating.

And two years ago, at the height of the Gaza-Gully friction, several promoters of dances which sought to use him as a headline act could not receive permits from the police.
