After giving a good account of himself at the recently concluded Bike Fest concert held over the Heroes Weekend at Pines Plaza, St. Elizabeth, upcoming dancehall/reggae act Andrew Folkes better known as ‘Blaze’ has released his second video for the very thought provoking single ‘Nuh Wah Dead’ featuring fellow deejay Shane-O.

The video, released last weekend tells a gripping tale of the ongoing saga of misguided youths who fall prey to the lure of monetary gains from higher authorities with undesirable motives.

According to Blaze who hails from Arnette Gardens, “The song was inspired by the recent turn of events in West Kingston which resulted in the loss of many lives and is just things we see happening everyday in the community as youths growing up, So we just sing bout it.”

The project directed by Zanda from Fusion & Eagle Entertainment was shot throughout the enclaves of West Kingston, Flava Squad Recording Studio, Eastwood Park Gardens and other parts of the Corporate Area with a cameo from Billboard Chart topper and 2010 MOBO Award Winner Gyptian.

Blaze a member of the musical outfit ‘Kollege Kru’ and a past student of Excelsior High School recorded what can be considered his biggest single to date ‘Wah Sleep’ in 2009. This gritty composition embraced by radio and the party circuit came as no surprise when the video clinched the No.1 spot on a number of local based entertainment programmes.
